The knowledgeable staff provides insights that elevate the tasting experience, leaving guests both satisfied and educated, as noted by Henry Vachon in his enthusiastic review.
Overall, KOVAL Tasting Room stands out not only for its high-quality products but also for its inviting atmosphere and excellent service. Whether you're in the mood for an impressive cocktail, premium coffee, or delectable treats like the Basque Cheesecake at just $6, KOVAL guarantees a delightful experience that lingers long after you leave.
“ We celebrated my birthday here with friends for a few drinks. The bartender Remy was awesome! Super friendly and gave excellent suggestions. Not only were the drinks phenomenal, but the atmosphere is so cozy. I had called ahead and the staff went above and beyond to reserve us ample space, which was outstanding since it was a Saturday evening! I would highly recommend for an event, gathering or just a fun time! ”
“ We had a great time touring the facility and learning about the complex process that goes into making all of their spirits! They also have great indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy drinks and food afterwards and a store to purchase their products! Will definitely come back again in the future! ”
“ Beautiful!! Modern elegant, light-drenched space that works for casual-cool, romantic, or even remote work location. The variety of seating (couches, armchairs, tables, and bar) make it suitable for any social vibe. We went for pre-dinner drinks. With a brand like Koval the cocktails are obviously impeccable. I didn't try the food, but I assume it matches the quality of the drinks. Beautiful, inviting, delicious. ”
“ Really a cool place to go! We took the tour with tasting and stayed for a few drinks at their bar. The tour guide and bartenders are really awesome! ”
“ Hands down one of our favorite distilleries to visit. Stop by for some hard to find varieties to take home. The mixologists are some of the best in Chicago. A little bit of a wait time, but totally worth it. ”
“ Atmosphere at Koval is one of the major highlights. It feels like a small intimate setting but warm and big enough for there to be a place to sit/stand even at busy times. Bar tenders are friendly and incredibly efficient. Cocktails were good, but a little overly sweet, especially the bees knees riff they have on the menu. This is a good spot to go for happy hour (special menu, on their website too). Lots of big sunny windows to take in the afternoon rays before a night out! ”
“ Been a fan of Koval Bourbon for a few years now. In my most recent visit to Chicago I made it a point to visit Koval in person. We arrived around 5pm on Saturday evening to a mostly full house. We were able to grab a few seats at the bar when another couple left. Megan was our bar tender and she was knowledgeable fun and very attentive. She gave great advice on drinks and pours to which made the experience for non whiskey drinking even better. The atmosphere is welcoming and not overly full. It was loud but not to the point you couldn't hear the person next to you. The gift shop had plenty of branded Koval stuff to choose from, with not being overly tacky. They were out of a few things to include a shirt I liked. But that's okay, maybe next time. Over all great experience, didn't have any food so I can't rate that, but we will return. Maybe to do a barrel pick. ”
“ Visited for the old fashioned magic show, parking was great right in the front, walked in and got greeted by a host who welcomed us and shared information about the event and the tasting room. We had 3 drinks each and it was 4 of us and we all enjoyed them Bartenders are friendly and helpful, the place is nice with lots of seating, comfy couches and tables and more traditional tables and chairs in addition to the bar. They also have pretty decent outdoor seating too We didn’t eat any food so didn’t rate it however the menu did look good and we would have gotten food if we were not going to dinner after ”
